PINCH…

Since I were a lad, me and my step-dad Paul have tried to get each other on the first of each month by doing the old ‘pinch-punch, first of the month’ thing that many people do in different ways…Some people say ‘White Rabbits’ but we prefer to physically pinch and punch each other. Now that we live apart we tend to do this by text message and to make life easier to track down who won the year, I started this page.

The rules: 1st of the month 00:00 GMT – And that’s it

Ross won Mar 09 – even though Paul contests it as I was out of the time zone and he was drunk after 4 sips of shandy
Ross won Apr 09 – despite Paul’s best efforts to trick Ross with an April Fools txt at 9 in the morning
Ross won May 09
Ross won Jun 09 – the rules are GMT Paul you weasel.
Ross won Jul 09 – Even had the decency to wait until the morning to get you.
Ross won Aug 09 – Not even hard anymore…‘It’s not fair, you must have it setup automatically or sumthink’
Ross won Sep 09 – Billy Glass back got nothing on me
Paul won Oct 09 – I didn’t even try
Ross won Nov 09 – Could have got him twice
Ross won Dec 09 – Apparently, Paul won on a ‘moral victory’ despite Ross sending the text in the morning as Paul had left his phone somewhere in the sofa
Ross won Jan 10 – Actually in person, pinch punch – the look on Paul’s face was priceless as it was about 1 in the morning
Ross won Feb 10 – I woke up at 5 and remembered. Paul maintains that I am a cheat. Quite how I can cheat by giving him 5 hours head start is beyond me.
Paul won Mar 10 – This time even though he was in Bahrain he managed to send it through so it went off at 5.00 GMT.
Paul won Apr 10 – Fair and square for once
A draw May 10 – Both of us must have been exhausted but it was worth it to be awake for that moment when you think you’ve won but then the txt comes through and you know it was sent at the same time
Paul won Jun 10 – He was even in hospital!
Ross won Jul 10 – It’s a fair cop he said
Ross won Aug 10 – well he was in Wales
Ross won Sep 10 – even waited until the morning
