WHAT A WEEK…

Well this week was a huge one! Thursday was Millie’s first day at School and it was just incredible to be able to walk her there and take my part in what was an amazing event. My hurt melted when she opened the door in her uniform and bounced across to me beaming a smile [...]

IT CAN’T LAST…

As walked into Millie’s room just she said Aw dad you look really cool.  First and last time for everything…

Today was the final tidy up of loose ends before 4 glorious days off and a pay day.  The disaster recovery went to plan which is cool as you never really have the time or kit to do it yourself.  Nice to know that in 24 hours and lots of caffeine we would be back [...]

RIP IT LIKE A BANDAID….

Well, this morning I took Mills on her final day at nursery.  She went in looking like a princess in a party frock, tiara and a huge bouquet of flowers.  Just can’t get over how grown up she is and how much of her development is direct result of their excellent care.  Next step is [...]

HOW CAN HE BE 18?…

We went down to Wales last weekend to visit my family and to help celebrate the birthday of my younger but bigger brother. We had a fab time and Mills really enjoyed seeing everyone and getting (yet!) more birthday presents. Thank you for having us!

3AM, AGAIN…

Well here we are again, jetlag has kicked in after a deep sleep has left me wide awake at 3am. Our flight was thankfully uneventful but the length of Millie is very noticeable when she lies flat as a board between the seats and left me with about 6 inches to arrange myself into for [...]

CAN YOU SLEEP?…

We are very excited at the prospect of flying to LAX in the morning! I’m going to turn the internets off for a bit if you don’t mind. You won’t be needing it will you? Thought not. Well, see you on the other side. Of the pond that is. Viva vacations! Traa a bit…..

ZOO, ZOO, ZOO…

Great day spent at Dudley Zoo yesterday taking nephew JoBo on a zoo keeper day. The cool bit was that not only did he get to feed giraffes, tapirs, pengiuns as well as mucking out farm animals but we also had the chance to meet and greet some too! Mills stroked and held a rat, [...]

IT’S A BOY!…

Great news that sister Shelley gave birth to a bouncing dark haired boy this morning at about 2.20!!! Mother and baby doing fine!! The actual labour bit was only a few hours and all went to plan with only gas and air – and that was for Simon We are overjoyed at the new arrival [...]

ACTUALLY, NO…

The healing is going well and this afternoon I was due to go back into work but after nearly falling over hanging some washing up, I think the cut and thrust of the I.T. crowd will have to wait for another day. Its probably a result of the lack of food that is making me [...]
